Jud Blount is a multifaceted entrepreneur who has achieved notable success in the restaurant and hospitality industry. As the head of the Vintage Hospitality Group, he leads an expansive team of seasoned professionals. With expertise covering every aspect of the industry, Jud is adept at developing innovative and prosperous concepts. Born and raised in Montgomery, Jud attended the University of Alabama studying Business Administration/Management. Prior to taking over the renowned Vintage Year restaurant, he was the President, CEO & Co-Owner of Filet & Vine for 19 years where he grew it to be Central Alabama’s largest specialty market, deli and bottle shop. In 2018, he repurposed a 1950s bank building into Vintage Cafe, a charming coffee shop and daytime eatery.

In 2020, in collaboration with Alabama Power, Jud launched MGM Greens, a cutting-edge hydroponic farm that cultivates fresh greens and herbs for his restaurants and the community. Recognizing his contributions, he was honored with the Restaurateur of the Year award from the Alabama Restaurant and Hospitality Association in 2021. In 2022, he introduced Red Bluff Bar at the Silos in downtown Montgomery's Riverfront Park. During the same year, he successfully completed the City Fed restoration project, integrating three buildings from 1926, which now house Italian restaurant Ravello and its rooftop Bar Attico alongside various private event spaces.

More recently, Jud collaborated with partners to launch Frenchie's in Cloverdale. Currently, he is working with another partner on the redevelopment of the Grove Court Apartments, an award-winning complex dating back to 1947, aiming to transform it into a modern living space.

Jud and his wife, Martha, have two children, Jud Jr. and Susannah. During his leisure time, Jud enjoys traveling, hunting, fishing, and attending live music events. Actively involved in his community, he is a member and serves on the Board of Trustees at Fitzpatrick United Methodist Church. Throughout the years, Jud has contributed to various community initiatives, including serving as a youth coach, co-chairing The Capri Theatre's Marquee Magic Campaign, acting as President of the Capri Community Film Society, and co-chairing Light the Heart of Cloverdale. He has also been a board member of Jubilee Cityfest and a former member of the Fitzpatrick Volunteer Fire Department.

In recent times, Jud has taken on roles such as serving on the Board of Directors for the Montgomery Chamber, being a member of the Montgomery Area Committee of 100 and the Board of Control, participating in the Montgomery Area Business Committee for the Arts, River Region Trails, and contributing to the Alabama Restaurant and Hospitality Association.
